Doris

This is Doris, well only her head and sword as I created her on a piece of scrap paper at school and never finished her so I kind of thought it would be nice to have no body for her as she's the unfinished Assissain. BUT!, I am planning to redraw all of the assassins characters with bodies.. ^__^

Hey Yas, a nice new one, here! As stated, pay attention to shines. Your anatomy is getting better, though. Perhaps something to think about would be to do some copies of famous stuff (i.e. sailor moon, chobits, etc.) to get the feel of anime proportions. That's how a lot of artists start out, perhaps you should give it a try and show us your progress? Keep at it! ^__^

Yasmin I hope that you keep doing art. The more you do it the better you will be. No two artists are exactly alike. You may be in here feeling overwhelmed at times at all of the experts to compete with. Just remember what each rating really means. There is a scale that tells you what each number stands for. You show incredible promise. Remember when doing shiny objects like the sword to add it's shine. A sword's glares and shiny areas make it appear majestic and powerful. This can be easilly done. You may also want to check our a few books from the library on shadowing and shading and other tips. These helpful hints can only shorten the time it takes you to finish a peice and will eventually put you up there with the masters. Keep up the good work!
