Unique blooms! It appears to have had more blooms that have been removed. So, you were there two years ago? My wife always wanted to go there, but now that we are both disabled it just isn't going to happpen.

Artist Reply: This was one of my favorite trees in Hawaii & they were everywhere!!! The blooms die fairly quickly & fall to the ground, but more take their place. I went to Kauai with my sister in 2010, then went back in 2011 to Maui & Hawaii (the Big Island). Now she wants me to go to Australia with her next yr.!!! She wanted me to go with her to Peru this year, but I sat it out...just had a strange feeling about going. But she went & got back not too long ago, with pictures of Machu Picchu (which I'll never get to take now!). I'm not sure about Australia yet. For us, Hawaii is half way around the world, & Australia is even farther! I'm not a young chick anymore & not in the best of health...she's younger than me! :)
