..the plains warrior

An epic piece for me... Leader and lover of his people, wrapped in a skin gifted out of respect from his followers...37 hours of work... Bristol/graphite/18x24

In addition to the awesome anatomical precision here, I am impressed by the three-dimensional effect: it almost has the effect of a sculprture. Very evocative expression of fatigue and despair.

Sher: All of your pieces have this very mystical softness...it's is the way you see it and feel it on pages before you make the first stroke...it is your soul imprinted on each and every single piece that you do. It is amazing to see because not many are able to have a piece of their soul embeded in their images without losing something, without taking something away from themselves and stay intact.

Excellent..was "Plains" his tribe, or vcan you tell me more...I wore a head dress similar to this as a young scout at the Nez Perz reservation in 1964. I can still feel the power and smell the feathers.
