Now the old Year past us by,
I wonder how you are.
No tree no sparkles there to see,
No more that big bright star.
It’s only us, alone, together,
that are reaching for the world.
But find the same we always did,
when we had our fingers burned.
For joy we need a year again,
with the memories that rest.
We look once more upon those carts
Where wished was “All the best”.

Inside we find that contradiction
with faces full of tears.
What’s left is feelings far away,
when we dressed our Christmas trees.

Yes, we grow now old together
and learned from life and change.
We also grow in art this way,
but the old art still remains.
But next time when we sign our picture,
We’ll do… like always done.
We’ll sparkle with our new achievements.
In our hearts, that glance will come.
