Why © Annette Harris. The original of this is 10 x 12 Acrylic on Stretched Canvas. I created this painting for a fundraiser for breast cancer in memory of my sister who lost her battle in 2007. I had been looking online for inspiration for my newest creation at that time and found a thumbnail image similar to this one that I loved and knew this was the face. I painted my own version of this and painted a quote from my sisters article in the Toronto Star to the right of the face and words of inpiration to the left. I feel this is the face of every person family member and friend who's faced with the any sort of life changing struggles.
