I can certainly understand! A cousin of mine told me she was contemplating suicide. I tried to help her with the problems she told me about, but she got mad and most recently, told me not to write or phone her any more. I'm so afraid she's trying to get up the 'nerve' to do it and mad because I tried to talk her out of it!
Artist Reply: Hugs. I know exactly what you mean. Every time Tina called me feeling suicidal I would tell her I needed her, that I couldn't survive without her- and I finally got to the point where I was SO tired of fighting that battle, that I didn't say that to her... and she actually thanked me for not saying it- saying that the last thing she needed was for me to GUILT her into staying... which wasn't what I had been doing- but that is how she perceived it. When they are suicidal they are not in their right mind- and things get all messed up in the mind.
