Waiting a sailor This art piece portrays and tells of the natural qualities and characteristics of a man and a woman. To me, in regard to relationships between a man and a woman, the greatest quality of that a woman is faithfulness whereas; the greatest quality of that a man is responsibility. As for the people of Asia, this is the culture of which is highly adored and expected of in a relationship. In this art piece, I have painted about a woman who is waiting faithfully for the return of her husband from sea. The act of sailing is a symbol of the discovery and experiences in the life of a man. The expression of confidence and believe for the return of her husband due to his responsibility. The moon is a sign of the length of time that has lapse whereas; the forbidden tree is a sign of the challenges towards the faithfulness of the woman. The fishes in the sea is a symbol of the freedom of life.
