One thing about custom or hot-rodded cars is that even though many are hand- rebuilt from the ground up – they’re still cars and they occasionally have a prob. Take this really cool black and red Camaro we were shooting the other night. Shift from neutral to reverse and CRACK a loud report from the U-Joints. Usually that means let’s replace ‘em before we’re stuck somewhere with a dropped drive-shaft – no fun. So I reckon I’ll call one of those mechanics that comes to the car – how cool is that! So out to the parking lot where we decided to meet up – our “dial- a-mechanic” shows and to our surprise she takes care of the prob in quick Bristol-fashion. And since we already paid for the service-call we found other mechanical equipment for her to work on – made sense. Well enough of the mundane logistical events connected with a photo-shoot – I know what you lot want to know – - – what were me cammy settings and what sort of post production work went on with the digital files after the shoot! – Ha! Shot with the Canon G11 – guys that’s all that’s needed for most knock around shooting – 10mega-pixels is plenty – nice zoomy lens – BTW shot wide-angle as is me regular starting place on this sort of job (6mm) – and that’s about it. Sure some extra lighting from the Yellow-Truck’s blinding headlights and a bit-o-photoshop and about 70 layers for good measure and after hours of grueling work the pix is done. So what about the mechanic – her work’s pretty awful, but I’ve got to say I haven’t got the heart to cut her loose – she’s too much fun to watch – Ha! – - – Make Photos you lot! ~:0) VivaChas!
