I loved creating this beautiful lighthouse so much I decided to create another version of it to show it's beauty at night. Let me give you a little bit of history on the Lighthouse of Alexandria. The Lighthouse of Alexandria is one of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World; it's also the most recent to have been built, having been built during the reign of Ptolemy I of Egypt. The lighthouse was commissioned in 290 B.C. and completed about 20 years later due to its complexity. It was so well built that it was still standing in the early 14th century until a series of earthquakes demolished it and sent it into the adjoining sea. This is my rendition of it; originally it had a statue of Poseidon on the top since it was built during the rule of a Ptolemy who was Greek but I think the Egyptians would have preferred something more along their own beliefs which is why I changed it to an Ankh. This version shows how they kept a bright fire lit for the night so that incoming ships could follow this beacon of light.
