The wildfires in West Texas caused a lot of destruction and the smoke lingered and traveled for days. This photo was taken one evening when I stepped out my back door to feed my cats. There was smoke everywhere and we thought it might be close by, but the news broadcast that evening said the smoke was several hundred miles south of us in Val Verde county. Still, the sunset was eerily beautiful.
