I noticed this material hanging between two branches a week ago. So I grabbed a stick, lifted it out , and placed it on the ground. What shocked me at first, was this huge decaying skull, no feet, just scales and fins. At first I thought it was a reptile, but was confused with the fins. I then took quite a few photos of it. I emailed my nephew, who then sent one of the pictures to a zoologist at the Royal Ontario Museun, to find out what type of animal this skull with limited body body parts, was from. To my amazement, I was told it was a salmon. A salmon stuck in a tree, was obviously some animal or bird's dinner. I could only imagine how it got there! So a week later I went back to see if it was still there. I was fortunate, that it had just finished raining. It actually left a nice sprinkle of light, blending in with the warm, vibrant bed of leaves.
