30" x 40", oil on canvas, 2011. This painting is based on a series of pictures taken during the Faquetigue Courir de Mardi Gras near Eunice, La in 2011. It depicts Ervin Frey (on guitar), Wilson Savoy (on accordion) and Joel Savoy (on fiddle) playing the traditional tune Le Chanson de Mardi Gras. The title is a reference to the song, which is the first line in its lyrics.
