Dark Skies Over LaFouche Parish, Louisiana

This is an old camp in the marshes of LaFouche Parish. The sky is a brooding dark mass, so typical of Louisiana. The painting was done to thank a doctor friend for some work he did for me.

A wonderful sky and marsh grasses, both with lots of movement, David! The orange-red pops up with great contrast to the greens, and even appears in the clouds! A charming portrait of a special place....
