J. Roberts Artist Bio

Jennifer Roberts started her career in photography at the early age of 9. Being the daughter of an artist and a musician made inspiration easy to find. After moving to St. Louis in 1999 she became inspired by dead buildings and what is known as urban exploration. Making exploring abandoned buildings a regular weekend past-time, Jennifer started on a new collection of photographs. This newly inspired collection was the start of Flashlight Photography. Since making the jump to doing photography full time her work has been featured at “Art for AIDS” in Gallery Visio (St. Louis, MO)The Stone Spiral Coffee House (Maplewood, MO), “Jack’s Art Show” in Koken Art Factory (St. Louis, MO), “America: The Beautiful & Beyond” in Art St. Louis (St. Louis, MO), “Let Them Eat Art” in Studio Altius, (St. Louis, MO) “So St. Louis” in Art Dimensions (St. Louis, MO), “Beauty From Within” in Soulard Art Market (St. Louis, MO), “I see music” located in Soulard Art Market (St. Louis, MO), as well as her website www.FlashlightPhotographyOnline.com. Jennifer’s 2009 schedule includes several solo shows in the St. Louis area and national group shows including “Art Raw Inaugural Exhibit” in Art Raw Gallery (New York, NY) February 19, 2009. Jennifer continues to preserve beauty in what remains.
