Sete Lagoas, a região natal do artista, concentrou por muito tempo sua economia em extrativismo mineral. era rica em pedras, tais como ardósia, mármore, cristal, etc. ... e mesmo não aparecendo em fontes oficiais, os diversos tipos de terras e argilas, ainda existentes na região, inspira à formulação de tintas naturais que sustentam o cromatismo da produção das peças criadas pelo artista. A cidade é inserida em um circuito conhecido como Circuito das Grutas, possuindo uma das principais delas, “a Rei do Mato”. A formação rochosa dentro da gruta é cársica. O que gera a pesquisa estética cultivada por Dmtrius em torno de sua produção focada no aspecto geológico das rochas, fósseis, etc. Aos tons terrosos soma-se à composição artesanal das peças artísticas, valorizando os ambientes com um toque único e caloroso. As contas constitutivas das peças são 99% de cerâmica, modeladas à mão pelo artista, queimadas a temperatura superior a 1000 º, com detalhes em esmaltação, madeira, sementes naturais, metais fundidos, resinas e tingimentos naturais.
