I'm 56 and live in south central Pennsylvania. At this time, I enjoy drawing dinosaurs in their prehistoric environment using a combination of charcoal, carbon, and graphite pencils on cold press illustration boards. My favorite dinosaurs include sauropods such as Diplodocus, Barosaurus, Amargasaurus, and Bajadasaurus.
I've been fortunate to have my artwork published in 15 issues of the Prehistoric Times Magazine (#56 through #60, #62, #64 through #66, #71, #73, and #153 through #156). I initially began as a self-taught artist in 2002; however, in an effort to improve my skill set, I enrolled in art classes with Don Phillips at the Harrisburg Art Association from 2003 through 2005. Additionally, during that time, I was fortunate to receive anatomical/musculature assistance from established paleo artists, Todd Marshall, John Burris, and Scott Hartman.
I took quite an extended break after 2005; however, I recently rediscovered my passion for drawing dinosaurs in late 2024. My initial drawing in 2025 of the Gryposaurus herd was accepted for the EAVP (European Association of Veterbrate Paleontologists) Conference in Krakow, Poland. It was on display from June 30th to July 5th in 2025. In addition, my Bajadasaurus and Torvosaurus artwork was accepted and on display at The Paleo Art Show at the ALTR Gallery in Minneapolis, Minnesota from August 7th through August 23rd, 2025. Furthermore, from June 2025 through January 2026, nine of my pieces (Torvosaurus, Gryposaurus, Bajadasaurus, Mamenchisaurus, Alamosaurus, Polucanthus, Allosaurus, Suchomimus, and Styracosaurus) were featured in the Virtual Paleo Art Gallery curated by Extinct Fine Arts.
Moving into January 2026, both my Gryposaurus and Polacanthus artwork were accepted and on display at the Black & White Art Exhibit at the HIVE Artspace in York, PA. The exhibit ran for the entire month of January 2026. Additionally, my artwork was accepted and on display at the Hershey Artsfest that took place on Saturday, May 9th at The Englewood in Hershey, PA.
For June 2026, both my T-rex/Triceratops & Allosaurus/Diplodocus artwork were accepted for the Pair-a-dox Art Exhibit at the HIVE Artspace in York, PA. This exhibit ran from June 5th through June 27th. Furthermore, on Saturday, June 13th, my artwork was accepted and on display at the Middletown Arts and Crafts Festival at Hoffer Park in Middletown, PA.
In July, I'll be at the Old Market Day in downtown Chambersburg on Saturday, July 18th from 9a to 4p and the Chester County Craft Show in West Chester, PA on Saturday, July 25th from 9a to 3p.
In August, I'll be at the Summer Pop Up Craft and Vendor Show at The Outlets at Wind Creek in Bethlehem, PA on Saturday, August 1st from Noon to 5p, the Mechanicsburg Sunday Market in Mechanicsburg, PA on Sunday, August 9th from 10a to 2p, the Summer Send-Off Craft and Vendor Show at the Highspire Memorial Park on Sunday August 22nd from 9a to 1p, and the Get Crafted: Fine Art, Fine Craft and Spirits Fest on Saturday, August 29th at the Royal District Mural Park in downtown York, PA from 10 to 6p. In addition, my Spinosaurus and T-rex/Triceratops artwork were accepted for the Paleo Art Show in Minneapolis, MN beginning on August 7th. A framed 16:x20" print of each will be on display at the ALTR Gallery. Both prints sold on August 8th. Also, I'll have four originals (T-rex at Night, Alamosaurus, Stegosaurus, and Scelidosaurus) in the upcoming "Cowboys, Dinosaurs, and Outer Space" Exhibit at the HIVE Artspace in York, PA from August 7th through August 29th.
In September, I'll be at the Milton Harvest Festival on Saturday, September 12th from 9a to 4p, the Hummelstown Arts Festival on Saturday, September 19th on Main Street in Hummelstown, PA from 9a to 4p, and the Harvest of the Arts on Saturday, September 26th on West High Street in Carlisle, PA from 10a to 5p.
In October, I'll be at the Snack Town Fall Fest in Hanover, PA on Saturday, October 3rd from 8a to 2p, the Mount Carmel Fall Fest on Saturday, October 17th from 10a to 4p, and the Orion Wellness Harvest Market on Saturday, October 31st in Phoenixville, PA at Reeves Park from 11a to 4p.
