hello! my name is christopher.. i was born in the USA, in 1961... i grew up in new york, but then lived in japan for 3 years in the 1980s, moved to california after that and returned back here to japan, in 1993... most of the art work i will be uploading initially was done in the early 1980s, during my first 3 years here in japan...

a question i am sometimes asked is "why did you move to japan?" .. the answer is that i was an art student in college and i wanted to experience a foreign country that would then influence my art work... so when the opportunity arose to live in asia i jumped at the chance!!

right now i live in fukuoka, japan, which is across the sea from korea... i'm very interested in art, science, history, psychology, eastern philosophy and our popular global culture... i teach american culture studies and english in a japanese university, spend time with my family, and hope to write and illustrate books in the future...
