Ok my name is Brian Parker I was born in my home On January 03 1947 I’m Welsh. My story is simple one about my life in Ebbw Vale. Like many youngsters long time ago I failed my 11 Plus. Then aged at11, I attended a secondary modern school, I had one subject that was my favourite this was Art, we had a teacher called Mr Redwood he will always for me be a great man and wonderful teacher to me. Later in life as a working man (Gas Fitter ) I was absolute Gift to me that the week after he died and his wife showed me some of his wonderful oil paintings. He over the years inspired me towards art. At the age of 12, I starting drawing the covers of DC comics and the faces of the super hero's. At the age of 15 Mr Redwood help me again by encouraging me to go to art school but because I was a quiet child I did not push to my parents in the teachers confidence in me. I listened more my father and applied for a skilled trade mind with little objection from me this job would become my world. At about 1970 I started drawing again but always wanted to paint. As time went by I collected quite large portfolio with poster paint and felt pen drawings. At about 1990 I had two heart attacks which made me ill for about two years I was then that realised that I would not work a full job again. Although Ill with heart failure I needed something to take up my time. I started learning again about painting in watercolour all information obtained from the internet. Drawing and painting can improve the health both mentally and physically. This lead me to my fascination with faces first of Film stars but soon I found with patience I could draw and paint anything. Now I draw, paint and Have become quite good at likeness and style.
