Artist Description: In the 2nd edition of this book, which has presentation improvements, is a collection of the Stipple Artwork of Lucien van Oosten. It starts by showing his first composition using the stippling technique. As you go through the up to the 40 pieces of art, Lucien created over the years, I was, as I’m sure you will be amazed, at the skill level displayed as you go from page to page. I was enamored at the level of detail Lucien was able to obtain to depict the various subjects presented in the book. The book is worth having, for no other reason than with its ability to captivate you differently each time you peruse and scrutinize each piece, or a specific piece of his artwork, which appeals to you.
In the last couple of pages of the book Lucien shows two unfinished drawings that show how he creates very light out lines and then does his magic, by filling in all the details of his marvelous, stunning stipple compositions.
