Rose of The Morning Watercolor

"Rose of The Morning", an Alister Stella Gray Heritage Noisette rose was hybridized in England by Alexander Hill Gray in 1894 and sports a double 35-40 petalled bloom that is about three inches in diameter. The almost perfectly scrolled roses open like golden jewels, from pointed buds and then flatten into silky, soft, pale yellow hearts, fading to white. Its blooms are of the Cecile Brunner buttonhole shape. A vigorous climber, blooming on almost thornless, cascading flexible slender canes that are easy to train on a pillar or trellis and is shade tolerant. Its fragrance can easily fill the garden! Just as this beautiful rose shows forth God’s glory, may we be transformed continually into His Image, giving forth the fragrance and beauty of Christ as we express our praise and walk with Him each day. Indeed, may our lives fill the gardens of many needy hearts around us with God’s redeeming Love. “All Your works shall praise You, O Lord...” (Psalm 145:10) Enjoy!

Artist Reply: Thanks so much Dee. Coming from you, a fabulous artist in your own right, is very special to my heart. Truly God has given the talent and it is a joy to paint for Him...as Joni Erickson Tada says, "painting for His pleasure." What a privilege. Have a great day my friend. Blessings, Jan.

Gorgeous!!

Artist Reply: Thanks Carol for your lovely encouragement on The Rose of The Morning. It is especially beautiful when the sun lights it up and makes it glow even more. It brings me great joy. Loved your digital paintings, especially the winter scene with the sleigh. Wow! Have a great day, Jan.
