I exhibited at the Don Reynolds Cancer House for the Breast Cancer Survivor reception. It was a wonderful experience to see so many survivors and the happiness on their faces.. I exhibited at the "Art in the Park" the last of October and enjoyed it too. It was a beautiful fall here and I took photos. Just attended the Pharoah exhibit in Little Rock. It was great...Learned about the Crystal Bridges Museum that will be in NW Arkansas. Exciting .....

My show went really well... I enjoyed Dionne Warwick. Over 500 saw my exhibit and it was well received. On Saturday Sept 25 Jimmie Rodgers was in concert and it was fantastic. He has really risen above health problems and is still perfoming. I had my picture made with him and he looks very good for his age.

I have my art show"A CELEBRATION OF LIFE" in the Performing Arts Center in Alma Arkansas. It is to honor my school and students who have given me great fullfilment through the years. I will have a "Meet the Artist" prior to the Dionne Warwick show on Sept 12 from 6-8 and a reception on Sunday Sept,13th from 3-5. I am excited about seeing former students and sharing my art. I just did a You Tube "Artistic Impressions" of my landscape paintings and I have it on my blog. I also did one about my Wyoming and Idaho Adventure on You Tube. It was fun.

Just came home from Wyoming and Idaho. Beautiful places to inspire an artist.... I 'm working on on paintings and I took a lot of pictures. We stayed in Teton Springs resort in Victor Idaho. It was a wonderful place surrounded by mountains and close to Jackson Hole Wyoming. One of our favorite places to eat was in Victor at Scratch. Fantastic food. The Teton mountains are so spectacular and Yellowstone was wonderful. I know why Thomas Moran painted there. It is so incredibly beautiful. Well my soul is refreshed and I am glad to be home in beautiful Arkansas. Lots of work to do to get ready for my art show in September..................

Just returned from Chicago. They turned the Chicago River green for St. Patrick's day. I loved the Art Institute and a 4 hour tour of the city. The Picasso and Calder scuptures were great and the architecture was fabulous. I got to see the Barack Obama home from the street and many other famous areas of Chicago. Even the hotel I stayed in the Palmer House Hilton was beautiful and art was everywhere.

Went to Tulsa, Oklahoma to the Gilcrease Museum. There was ledger art that the indians in 1887 had drawn. It was very interesting and told stories. The woodcarver who's work was on display was Willard Stone. He was excellent. Another display this month is of the American impressionists. Wonderful museum to visit. Now I'm doing some photography and getting ready for a trip to Chicago in March.
