I came bursting out of the outsider woodwork in the spring of 2000 as a contemporary folk artist, and have been creating ever since! Folk art is my passion, whether I am painting it or collecting it. The awe and wonder I feel every time I see an artwork created from someone who has no formal training fills me with joy. I am fascinated with what comes out, from the soul, in each person who creates from the heart. With that thought in mind, I hope you get the same feeling I do when you browse through my art. I try to balance all of the emotions of Life in each and every piece. On a more personal note, I am a 2-time kidney transplant recipient (needing a 3rd soon) and I was diagnosed with CIDP in June of 2006. Times have been hard lately, but my art has helped pull me through the betrayals of life. I am very thankful for that!
