The Artist~
Tonia Bennington Osborn is one of those rare and priceless souls blessed with the ability to create beauty and to share her breathtaking visions through her art. Her life long labor of love has been to explore and express the miracles that that make up her world, and she does so exquisitely in a plethora of techniques and mediums.
Born in Florida and raised in Ohio, Tonia had distinguished herself as a serious artist by age eleven when she received an award from the Young Authors Guild for her work in illustration. From there, her recognition and respect only grew. Her impressive resume describes and defines a successful and meaningful career filled with prestigious honors and richly deserved awards, yet it fails to relate the radiant beauty of Tonia herself and the magic that abides within her.
Formally educated at OSU, The Columbus College of Art , The Dayton Academy of Design, Tonia expertly creates in soft pastel, graphite, colored pencil, watercolor, acrylics, and oils. Her favorite subject is figurative drawing and portrait work. Her favorite medium is soft pastel on suede, an artform which she has lovingly embraced and genuinely enriched through her own unique innovations and experiments. Most of all, Tonia is a creature of pure passion who not only sees into the soul of her subject but who also fearlessly offers us glimpses of her own lovely muse's soul.
Tonia's work is displayed at various shows and galleries internationally, though a great deal of her time and her art are donated to those charitable organizations whose work allows Tonia to help heal others and her world.
