Never Give Up! Steve, IDEA: try www.lulu.com and self publish your work in a children's book. Write it yourself or partner with someone. I like your work and so will others. I didn't join AW to sell art work. As others have commented, I did it to have a site I could send folks to see my work. Plus, I show people my work on-line (on AW) in their offices when they ask about my work. I show them or give them the AW web page info. AW has rec'd a few members when I do that. Thanks for this thread. I got some good site names. I looked at redbubble and I might try it. Have you seen www.threadless.com? It seems similar in some ways, at least the t-shirt part. Anyway good luck, happy year of the OX and thanks.

Original Post: Does anyone actually sell their art?

I am relatively new to ArtWanted and only recently have tried to sell prints. I have put the word out and have had a number of hits, however sales so far are zilch. Perhaps my art is too focused on a small demographic and not enjoyed by the larger populice. In other words not much of a market for my subject matter. I would like to hear from some other artists and how they are doing. Perhaps I can gain some insight or advice from others. Check out my portfolio and feel free to share honestly. I am open to going in another direction if need be. I just don't want to sell out, but then I could remain poor!
