InkJet Printing...

For printing artwork - Is it possible to use the photo quality inkjet printed on acid free Wausau or Vellum card stock and use Krylon "Make it Acid Free" paper protection spray to achieve archival quality?

Anywho have any thoughts on this approach?

I'm certainly no expert on printing, but I think the inks are also most important. I know people who make their own prints but they find it quite expensive to get good archival qualities using the right materials. OK if you are going to produce and sell enough quantity, but for my mind I'd sooner trust a professional company to produce mine. It doesn't cost too much and as long as you can supply them with a good quality image to work from on disk, then it's worth the money.

I make my own prints, but I use archive quality paper and a profesional inkjet printer, and yes, it is expensive, but it cancels out my travelling costs for me to drive 250 miles everytime I want prints.
