Self Portrait

William Alexander entered the world of graphic design after studies in fine art and design at Memphis College of Art, Grand Valley State University and Columbia College Chicago where he earned his BFA in Graphic Design. After fifteen years of print and multi-media design for both ad firms and in-house publishing, Alexander decided it was time to create art that was “fine” rather than “corporate”. Alexander then participated in local exhibitions and competitions, where his work began to garner the interest of serious art collectors. His work has since been featured in regional exhibitions at the Grand Rapids Art Museum, Kalamazoo Institute of Art and Muskegon Museum of Art along with numerous other prestigious galleries. William Alexander's work has been featured in over 100 signature exhibitions since 2002 and is included in corporate and private collections throughout the United States and around the World.
