I am Margaret. I have never worked as a professional painter; it was simply a study to see if I was capable of drawing. My art represents the continuous evolution of my painting style. In the past, I explored dimensions, proportions, figures, details, and colors in a constant search for perfection within the finished painting; at the same time, I developed a unique and distinctive style that merged the subject with the background, giving life to a rich artistic genre. Since then, because I despise repeating myself and getting stuck in a routine, I have always sought to reinvent myself and explore new styles to vary my paintings as much as possible. My artistic research is founded on the idea that the true value of the world resides in what is free and diverse. At times, I reject the artificial perfection of traditional mediums; I prefer the truth of raw materials, improvised supports, and the clear signs of creative urgency—such as the holes and creases that bear witness to the physical bond between the artwork and the space where it was born. However, people often say: 'What a beautiful painting! Gift it to me; maybe one day you'll be famous and I'll be rich.'
