I have been drawing all my life. I never felt truly happy working in an office or for anyone else. Although I always found ways to be creative, something was missing. Life had happened. "Art" was what I used to do, who I used to be. The thought of picking up a pencil was simply scary.
A trip to the Chrysler Museum changed me forever. The depth of the inspiration I felt was profound.
I came home and began to paint. It didn't matter that the oil paints I used were at least 15 years old. (I have new ones now) It just flowed out unlike it ever had before. I painted the piece "Mushrooms" (In my gallery) and to this day is still one of my favorite pieces. I don't think I will ever part with it. When I lack inspiration, it is always there reminding me that I can.
I surprise myself quite often with what I achieve. I am still not sure what direction I want to take as an artist. I just cant stick with one media or subject. Just about everything fascinates me. I am constantly experimenting, looking I guess, for something.
I appreciate you viewing and commenting on my work.
