I have always been interested in crafts of all kinds, since being a small child. Through out the years I've created lots of projects which I have sold or given away as gifts.
I've studied art and design, fine art, sculpture in many different media, dressmaking, puppet making, business studies and I.T. skills. I think all these skills come together for the puppet making business I run now.
A number of years ago, I started my business selling sculptures and crafts. The Humberside Puppet Company saw my work and commissioned me to create a selection of puppets for their puppet making workshop for local children. I took on this challenge, as I have always had a love for puppets, using some very good puppet making books and their expert puppeteering advice. I designed and made the puppets and also instructed them with their project. The project was a great success and I was commissioned for more workshops which have been highly successful. I have also helped The humberside Puppet Company to create and sell their own highly successful brand of muppet type puppets.
I decided to concentrate on making and selling puppets as I enjoyed it so much. Since then I have probably made in the region of two hundred and fifty puppets with very pleasing results. I really enjoy my work and I think that it is reflected in my puppets.
I have been commissioned to work for many puppet companies, puppeteers, magicians, record companies, hospital puppeteers, ventriliquists etc...around the world who are very pleased with my puppets and keep coming back for more commissioned work.
