gor Tarantul was born in Russia in 1954.Upon finishing the school in 1971 he was apprenticed to his father, Itzchak Tarantul,who is also a master engraver.Igor has over 35 years of experience in engraving art. In 1993 he immigrated to Israel and started his own business in 1994. Most of his work is based on hand engraving techniques, such as relief , three dimensional engraving and gold casting (inlay). Igor uses both traditional and modern methods of engraving . Each piece of his work is always unique because it's engraved by hand using individual designs and layouts. Igor engraves on a full time basis at his studio in Tel aviv.
