Born March 20th, 1988, Sarah Marie Lacy may only be just twenty years old, but she has certainly led an interesting life.
Diagnosed at 12 with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, she spent the next five years dropping in and out of school, until at 18, depressed and worsening rapidly, she left entirely, feeling her options had run out.
Enter art and a serious wake up call.
Sarah had always drawn and had been painting for a few years, but it took a near suicide attempt to make her realize what was in front of her. After giving herself a good kick in the pants, she resolved to change her life around.
Two years later, Sarah has graduated high school and is now busy running her business as a professional artist. She has won awards for her work, and has been accepted into several juried shows, including the Pelham Art Festival. At 19, she had her first solo exhibition, and is currently busy with commission work and preparations for upcoming exhibitions.
