Please leave comments for my art, it is VERY IMPORTANT TO ME.
I just wanted to tell people a little something about myself. I have never taken an art class, not even in High School. About a year and 1/2 ago I began dating a young man who was a painter. He and I had alot of things in common, that is artisic minds. I am a self taught photographer and he is a wonderful painter (VERY TALENTED PAINTER). One night after dinner as we shared a bottle of wine, he began sketching, like he alway did. I remember him looking over to me and asking if I could sketch anything and I laughed and said "No, unless you like stick figures, ha ha ha." He kept insisting that I must be able to sketch atleast one thing, you know that one thing that we have all doodled our entire life. I grabbed the pencil from his insistant hand and began my doodle of this silly rabbit that I can remember having drawn since I was about 4 years old. After I was finished with the doodle, I said this is all I can draw. Well, little known to me he absolutely loved my silly rabbit. His exact words were "Your rabbit is classic, I love him". The following weekend I was at the art supply store to get something for my photo frames and I just happened to see paint on sale, then in the distance I saw that there was buy one, get one free canvases.....was this a calling for me or what. After my purchase, I hurried for home and sketched my silly rabbit on this canvas, then not knowing a thing about acrylic paint or how to even use a paint brush, let alone, how to mix colors...my first painting began....within a couple of hours I was off to my friends house to show her what I had done. She loved it. I meet my boyfriend for lunch that day and gave him my first ever painting....that following weekend the next canvas was painted then the following weekend a new canvas was created.....Since July of 2003 I have been using my imagination to put smiles of faces of people both young and old. I hope that everyone that views my art likes it as much as I do. I guess somewhere deep inside all of us there are hidden talents that just wait to be discovered.
