Self Portrait

At age 3 I was snuck into a ceramics class with 5-7 year olds because I would not stop doodling on the floor, walls and any open, unadorned space! Thus began a need to portray a feeling without and tell a story without words. This journey has had me painting in nearly ( but not all) mediums, and I have painted in extreme sizes and kinds of places. I even painted live at clubs (to music) on canvases up to 20 feet tall. Believe me, they were too large to include in even my one woman show! Local radio stations helped to bring viewers to the club. My murals were seen in several newspapers. Schooled at Kendall and CCS, I worked for 5 years at an art store and did freelance work and tutored on the side. I have been a professional facepainter for nearly 14 years. I have facepainted for such amazing clients as the Detroit Red Wings. In the Pensacola Florida area I was featured as the facepainting lady and was the "pied painter" to children and adults alike. My favorite mediums are acrylic, Prismacolor and my new artistic release, Artdolls. They require the artist to be a sculptor, painter, fashion and jewelry designer, seamstress, caracature artist, engineer, illustrator, photographer, colorist, beautician and conceptualist. My chosen style is fantasy, but I can adapt to the needs of clients fluently. I love to challenge myself.
