Hmm, what to say? I live on the Central Coast of California in San Luis Obispo. Born in 1971, almost exactly 500 years after the great German artist Albrect Durer (just a coincidence, not a comparison - although I very much look like him, at least from the painted self portrait I have seen). I work as a tour guide at a major museum, and have for the last 15 years. I think that being surrounded by great art in many forms has be critical in the formation of my own aesthetics. I also work as a commercial photographer, and year after year I garner more clients thankfully. I started taking photographs back in 1996, primarily to illustrate a music fanzine I was publishing. As people saw my images, they commented in a positive way so I continued shooting, year after year. Now it's getting to the point where I can almost make a living at it! I love my cameras, and I shoot with all of them, from my Canon 35mm film camera, my Canon rangefinder, my Polaroid cameras, my 4x5, and last but not least my new Canon Digital... 16 megapixel clarity. Each has it's strong points, and I have never entered the argument of film vs. digital because to me they are all tools for my eye. Good aspects can be had for each format, and bad aspects of course too. Photography is my passion and my life. I am so thrilled to be able to share what I shoot with other people, and even more thrilled when people like my images... thanks for taking the time to comment and visit this little gallery.
