Self Portrait

Triongraphix is an Illinois based graphic design/ portrait painting company handcrafted by Sarah Mounts with an interest in photo- realism, an eye for detail, and a love for creating works of art by hand, Sarah started her journey into the wonderful world of the art scene at a young age.

As an Artist from Southeastern Missouri I had the privilege to be surrounded by beauty every single day. From the hills, and hollers to the constant crazy weather changes that affected the wildlife, and foliage around me. Growing up I always wanted things around me to look, and be as they should. I wanted to have my art reflect the same things i seen around me in my everyday life. Starting off my art began with simplistic pencil drawings all i ever found myself doing was drawing especially in school when I should have been studying. From there I went from pencil art to challenge myself with other various forms of mediums like charcoal, colored pencil, printmaking, water colors, and many more. I have had the opportunity at a young age to participate, and be a part of community events focused around art such as: BJC Mental Health where some of my art was featured at a children's event the theme was “ Sea of Possibilities,” and an art show at the Factory in Farmington Mo where some of my portraits were auctioned off for BJC Mental Health.

Art has always been for me a great stress management. Whenever I felt out of control of my own life, and my surroundings, and things didn't make sense to me or seem “real” I used art as a way to have some form of control over my life again. People today call what I was practicing at a young age Art Therapy which in my home then lacked any form of healthy growth mentally, and emotionally. I needed that emotional growth in a non judgmental atmosphere. To be able to reconcile my own conflicts, foster my own self-awareness, manage my own behaviors, and feelings. In me turning to Art at such an early age it gave me the ability to develop, and improve my own reality orientation, and increase my self esteem the only time I ever felt good about my abilities, and myself was during those hard times I had to turn to self expression through art. “ If people knew how hard I had to work to gain my mastery, it would not seem so wonderful at all”- Michaelangelo. Art has the power to heal, inspire, provoke, challenge, and offer hope. It can change our perception, and physiological state of mind. Art can raise our consciousness to important issues affecting people, society, and the planet. In my art for Triongraphix my goal is not only to challenge my own awareness, but to continue to rise above that which aims to bring me down. We got our name Trion-Re’ from the fundamental structural unit of 3-D space on the basis of which a new geometry of 3-D space can be built: namely, the 3-D space in which no straight lines exist. Essentially Trion- Re’ is sacred geometry which dates back to thousands of years. Used by churches, temples, mosques, religious monuments we see everyday, alters, and tabernacles. It is symbolic and sacred to certain geometric shapes, and proportions. It unites, and creates all realities. In my efforts to promote my art I want to end the stigma that surrounds people suffering from mental health related issues, and I also want the people to gain a new reality, or different perspective when reviewing my work
