I recently began to work in oils--4 months ago exactly--and find them to be obsessively fascinating. I have done amateur watercolors for a few years, but never thought to go public with any of my pieces. Oil painting is one of several obsessions/addictions I have: I raise and train Border Collies to work sheep, I care for the sheep and train others as well. I've worked in the city for many years to support my agricultural habit and am just now retired...sort of!
I also sing whenever I get the chance, whether on a stage or in the pasture; my favorites are the real oldies that were pretty obscure even back then (Mason Profit, Albert Lee, early Bonnie Raitt etc).
