Self Portrait

Born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1945. He began his training in art, drawing and painting with Master Artist Hugo Longa.

From the beginning, the impressionist style is his favorite. His knowledge of the same increases during the 1990s while he access to studying it directly.

His paintings are characterized by the use of oil on canvas applied with a strong degree of texture in his search for the best representation of natural light.

Since 1987 he has exhibited as a Permanent Artist in prestigious art galleries in Montevideo and Punta del Este.

Starting in 1990, he successfully exhibits within Uruguay in places like Colonia del Sacramento, Canelones, Maldonado and other locations. Since then to the present, his work was chosen by the Association of Infants' Villages S.O.S. (Asociacion de Aldeas Infantiles S.O.S.) to illustrate it's Christmas Cards due to the local representation of the work with it's national landscape.

Montevideo, Uruguay. X Exhibit of Visual Arts - Members of the Diplomatic Corps, Consular and International entities. Exhibit took place at the Pedro Figari Salon of the Ministry of Foreign Relations.

In 1999 he exhibits in a "One Man Show" in New York City (USA) sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Relations and the Consulate General of Uruguay in this city.

In the year 2000 he represents Uruguay in the VIII Latin American Art Exhibit at the Meridian International Center in Washington, DC. USA. Pizzanelli participated along with representatives of 18 other countries in the Art Exhibit "IberoAmerican Landscapes."

Since 2001 he exhibits permanently in the "Uruguay Cultural Foundation for the Arts" with seat in Washington, DC, USA

During 2002 he exhibits in:

"Susonoshi Bunka Senta" Cultural Center, Susono, Japan.

"Gotenba Shimin Kaikan" Cultural Center, Gotenga, Japan.

The artist's works are part of numerous national and international collections.
