Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, I began painting with watercolors at the age of five. Inspired primarily by my grandmother, a gifted artist, who nicknamed me "Nanybel" (short for Nancy Isabel), I fell in love with drawing and painting ... portraiture, in particular. I work exclusively with pastels and charcoal to create realistic commissioned portraits for clients worldwide.
