Artist Bio

Born on 13 September 1970, Nadine Jeanneton was brought up in the City of Vacoas in the Island of Mauritius which lies in the Indian Ocean off the Eastern Coast of Africa. She attended the Secondary School B.P.S. in Beau-Bassin where she studied subjects like English and French Literature as well as Fine Arts. Later on, Nadine became interested in the Subject of Arts and decided she would pursue her Studies at the Mahatma Ghandi Institute where she obtained a Diploma (with Hons.) in Fine Arts. Nadine Jeanneton first became a Teacher at the B.P.S. School where she taught Religious Knowledge, French and Fine Arts. Thereafter, she moved on to another St. Joseph All Boys' Secondary School where she is currently teaching Fine Arts and Human Values. Exhibitions in which Nadine Jeanneton participated are: A United Nations International Exhibition which took place in Year 2007 at the United Nations in New York, At the Alliance Francaise in Bell Village and which was Nadine's First Solo Exhibition which took place in Year 2007, At the Blythe Brothers' Co. Ltd. in Port-Louis, Mauritius and in which various artists from around the world participated in Year 2010, in various Local galleries around the island. Her passion for art and her inspirations are based on her love for the Protection of the Environment. She also is very active as a women in Society. Nadine is a current Member of the A.C.A. (Association de Creativite artistique), an artists' association in which all artists and curators meet to discuss various subjects that include art, exhibitions and participations in various Art Programs. Nadine Jeanneton's Objective is to be given challenging opportunities so as to fully demonstrate her abilities as an artist and to be recognized internationally.
