Miro was born in Nova Varos - Serbia - Yugoslavia and spent his childhood years in the town of Krusevac,where he completed his formal education and decided to take up painting and drawing as an artist career on leaving school.He undertook many private art lessons in Belgrade to enter the Art Academy and has met with the great masters of Yugoslavian post-war realism.After his first solo exhibition in Belgrade in May 1980 he left University and he has been a professional painter for the last 30 years.
Miro ran his own business and art gallery on the Island Korcula - Dalmatia - Croatia from 1984 until 1990.Always searching for inspiration and to develop his unique style of painting,he was inspired by old masters Canaletto, Renoir,Rembrandt and has also studied architectural drawing and painting in Florence. He moved to London in 1991, as a profesional artist with an Art Business Visa granted by the UK Embasi in Belgrade - Yugoslavia, where he's still living and working as a professional artist.
Miro' prefered technique, a skill he has perfected, is working with oil using Palette Knives. He also uses actylic,watercolour and soft pastels and particularly enjoys painting architecture such as old towns, buildings,castles and street scenes. Miro has exhibited and sold originals in various UK and London galleries and from his studio.
His paintings have become highly sought after and he has exhibited his work at galleries in the France, UK,Germany,Greece and former Yugoslavia. His paintings are now sought after by art collectors in 89 countries worldwide.
Miro's work is published by Rosenstiel's (Felix Rosenstiel's Widow and Son Ltd.) Fine Art publisher since 1880 exporting prints to over 100 countries worldwide. In adition,other work by Miro has been published by Gibson, the leading USA postcard publisher and by Abacus UK publisher.
