Since I was very young, my artistic work has always involved a strong personal connection with nature and beauty. My career as an artist began when I started to recognize the simple and important things in life that mattered to me. As I grew older I understood that being an artist sometimes could be challenging, but it is also exciting and rewarding. My paintings grow out of a sudden perception of the striking beauty I see in a scene or subject. I am moved less by a subject's physical reality then its underlying nature and surrounding environment such as moods, seasons, light, and space from the cubism/expressionism point of view influenced by the European masters like Picasso and Matisse. My artwork express the emotional impact of these perceptions interviewed with my attitudes, beliefs, and history. The bright and varied tropical colors have been an influence in the development of my artistic style.
