I was born in Haarlem into a family of 4 brothers and one sister, I was the last. One brother lives still in Holland and one in England and another in Australia. My sister lives in Sweden. My mother came from England and dad was Dutch. Much later after I came from school and back from the merchand navy, I married Inge and still a long time later we came to live in Heemskerk. As a boy I already did a lot of drawing and the teachers liked them. I started to paint in my spare time. I started without taking lessons and did a lot practicing myself. In the future I am intend to start painting again after being busy with my work. There will be more time to do it. Also I made some modern painting but preferred to make realistic work.
