Michaeline McDonald was born in Northern Arizona on August 21,1969 (Leo), another in a long line of artists and creatives. Her mother is also an artist and encouraged her daughter's drawing at a young age. The first thing Michaeline remembers drawing was a unicorn that her mother taught her to draw when she was six years old. Unicorns and pegasi were the themes of all of her drawings for the next few years. Later evolving to experimenting with everything! Portraits, all animals, and landscapes. Yet they were all in black and white with pencil or charcoals. She longed to go further with her art and incorporate color. Pastels became her first love for expressing color. They blended like charcoal and added so much depth and softness to her animal paintings. There are definite themes to her art through time. Beginning with pencil drawings of unicorns and then moving into working with paint and color and now experimenting with the techniques of the old masters (and new) on any size of "canvas" with oils and acrylics as well as mastering the airbrush on murals and large works of art. "It is my goal, as an artist, to bring into the awareness of others the true beauty and wonder of this planet, our home and our Mother. We are each responsible for the sanctity of our world. So it is my wish to use my gifts to portray, through my art, how amazing and wondrous this world was meant to be, and can still become. And in the process to contribute to those who are doing more than their share to protect LIFE.
