Michaela was born and raised in and around the Omaha, Nebraska area. At a very young age, she discovered her love of painting and drawing, inspired by the rural landscapes of her youth as she explored her grandparents' farmland and the surrounding area. After achieving numerous awards in high school, Michaela went on to receive her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, with an emphasis in Graphic Design and Illustration. Her style has evolved over time to reflect her deep love of God's creation, which includes florals, sweeping landscapes, and rural scenes. Michaela works primarily in acrylic, watercolor, charcoal pastel, and colored pencil; mediums that allow her to express her artistic style in a way that she feels deeply connected to. She currently resides in northeast Nebraska with her husband and four children, where she enjoys working on commissions, photographing nature, and discovering the beauty of the world around her.
