Hi a General Question

Just wondering if any one knows if the Art you display in your Portfolio can be just downloaded by someone just clicking on it , I have been here for several years and had my work looked at a lot of times and good comments made and yet never sell anything . Just wondering if it is possible for people to get your work for free.

Malcolm, the right click is disabled on this site to help prevent that issue...unless they know a way around that I wouldn't worry too much about it... however a screen shot can always be used to capture your image, but when doing that the quality is very poor and there isn't much chance of coming up with a good image when trying to resize and or manipulate it. Keep in mind that an embedded watermark is good proof of ownership and also realize that once you upload your work to the internet it is there for everyone to see including the great computer wizards and hackers who just love to screw with other people's happiness. I would be more worried about the scam emails that claim they want to do business with you.

Thankyou very much Mark for your reply to my question. I know the ones that try to coin you into some wonderful and large paying scam. Had a couple . I have thought of watermarks but also feel this takes away from the image . Again thankyou . Really like your work to . Regards Malcolm Barnes .

Malcolm, I'm talking about a hidden watermark that is not visible to the naked eye and can only be seen through certain software. It is embedded into the image pixels and is not a separate layer so it's difficult to remove. I agree that the visible surface watermarks are very distracting and don't look very good at all.
