Number of monthly and/or daily hits received by members

I've noticed an increase in hits I receive monthly. It's been several years now since I first had 30K hits per month and it's continuing to go up even now. Lately, I've been seeing 60K hits per month. I've studied the referral sites data but it is so basic as to be useless. Now I do have a lot of images so that is a factor, I'm sure. Unfortunately, this has not meant more sales or even more 'anonymous' comments. So I am left scratching my head.

Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon and, if so, could you give me an approximation of the number of hits and the timeline. If you don't want to talk about it here, you can send me a private message. I'm just at a loss as to how to interpret what is going on. Thanks, Charles

Wow that is quite a lot, 60K in one month ! You're obviously doing something right , but sorry it's not translating into sales, or more comments . Right now I think i have about 3k , and here I am thinking that's a decent amount. Well it is for me so I'm just going to be happy about the fact that someone is actively looking at my work. If you ever find out let me know, in the meantime I dub ye "The Hit King" : )

Dave, thanks for the comment. As you can see, people read and say nothing. Much as they watch things and do nothing, I'm guessing. Anyway, the 60k average has moved up to around 80k this year with this month giving me a bumper crop of over 131k on the 17th of April. Can't I at least get some sort of consolation prize? I'm guessing ours will be the only voices crying in the wilderness--- on this subject, at least :)

Thanks, Dave! It's something over 138k presently and rising. Maybe I'll win a kewpie doll, if this keeps up. Some folks are taking the phrase 'silent majority' a bit too literally. If you have nothing to say, do you make vacuous art instead? It's anybody's goose. But no one's squawking. ;)
