Greeting Cards are Back!

We are excited to announce that we have brought back our greeting cards and postcards for our print program. We have recently found a new system for our greeting cards and all of our tests have produced great results.

The additional products that are now available are:

  • 3.5x5" Folded Cards (Quantity: 12 and 24 cards)
  • 5x7" Folded Cards (Quantity: 1, 10 and 25 cards)
  • 4x6 Postcards

Greeting cards include envelopes and if you order 10 or more, they come in a box. The front of the greeting card features the artwork that was ordered. The inside and back of the card are blank (white).

Postcards feature the artwork on the front and standard postcard design on the back with most of the back left black for writing.

Greeting cards & postcards are now available on over 20,000 existing images on our website and can feature landscape or portrait images.

If you wish to not sell these items of your artwork, you can turn them off at anytime. To do so, create custom pricing in your members area and set the retail price to $0 for these items.

Please let us know if you have any questions and we hope you enjoy these new products!

PS - We have also fixed the bug in the shopping cart that added all products if you clicked the order button and added a 'Remove All Items' link on the shopping cart page.

Thank you!

Would it be terribly difficult to add on the back bottom of the card the artist's name and the name of the image?

....or.... what about your logo, your webside URL, the artist's name and the name of the image?

Gail Caduff-Nash 05 Mar 2008

Could you note the price (yours) of these cards? And I agree about having the artist's name placed somewhere on the card. It should cost the same to have something printed on the back of the card. I was a printer for many years - decades- and the way they set up paper for printing would allow you to put something on the back of the card - such as the AW logo/info and the artist's name - without adding to the cost.

Adding additional information/logos to the back & inside of the card is something that we are working on for the near future. This feature will require additional programming and technologies to automate, so it’s not something that is available at this time. However, when it does become available, it will not increase the cost of the product.

The price of these new products (both retail and your artist discount) is listed in the PRINT PROGRAM section of your members area.

It's a good start - but without my own personal logo and descriptions on the back, it is not something I would do. If I could sell them through AW instead of having the paper cut, printing, scoring, folding, packing - it would be wonderful. However to look professional, I need to be able to make them look like I did all of them.

I would not sell a card with the AW logo on it. So, the sooner you can do that - it would put me back in the card business.

Thanks for your feedback.

Thanks AW Guys, for bringing the cards back. I agree with the other comments about the title of the work and artist's name. An AW logo wouldn't bother me either. Thanks againfor bringing back the cards.

This is absolutely wonderful! I have been waiting and waiting for this--and having to use substandard printing companies trying trial and error to get good results is time consuming and frustrating to say the least.

Thank you for following up on this request and making it possible. :)

Thank you AW.

And the price is???????

Robin LaHue 08 Apr 2008

I think it's wonderful! My solution to "no name and logo" on the back is to print my own labels and put them on the back of the card. Just a suggestion!

I agree with some of the other correspondents. I wouldn't want cards without the title and artist's name on the back.

Phil Also, what I do on my printer works very well for me so far - I've sold hundreds.

one suggestion for the artists if you get these cards is to create a stamp with your name, info, etc. on it and just stamp the back of the cards. i don't know how "modern" printers print now but it used to be easy to have an image on the front/back of a card because it was all printed at the same time. the card stock goes through the press unfolded and then gets scored and folded afterward. now? who knows. still, i'm glad to see this option here again. i tried to get them before.

I have greeting cards on other sites. My question is , why would I do it without my copyright and name put on the cards? What is the price and what are the royalties to the artist?

Major details you conveniently left out.

Please email me back.

Carol - Greeting cards are part of our print program, so all the details are explained in our print program details. You set the price of the cards, or use our default retail price. The commissions you make are determined by the price you charge and our normal commissions amounts for the print program.
