In our effort to improve the buying experience for our customers, we have made a few upgrades to our shopping cart and checkout process. Here is a quick look at these changes...
1) MY CART
We have added a 'My Cart' link at the top of every page. This link jumps right to shopping cart page, which displays all of the items in the users shopping cart. If the buyer has any items in their cart, the number of items will be displayed next to the 'My Cart' link. This constant reminder of the items in the customers cart should increase the sales behavior of the art buyers that visit the site.
2) PRE-POPULATED SHIPPING ADDRESS
If you are a member of our site, when you get to the 'shipping address' page of the checkout process, the form will be pre-populated with your account information. This feature is a big time saver during the checkout process and allows you to quickly check shipping rates on any products you are interested in buying.
3) SINGLE SHOPPING CART
In the past, our shopping cart was only for print products, but our other products had a different checkout process. In order to create a consistent checkout process, we have rebuilt our entire website shopping cart to accept all of our products. This upgrade allows our customers to have a familiar experience, no matter what product they are buying. This also allows for our customers to use any major credit card, PayPal, Fax, Check or Money Order to purchase any products on our site.
4) SECURE PAYMENT REMINDER
On all of the pages of the checkout process, we now remind our buyers that they are using a safe and secure website to make their payment. This extra assurance to our customers should make them feel better about buying online. We also display icons of a 'padlock' and the credit cards that we accept for an extra visual representation of this information.
We hope that these changes will provide a better shopping experience for our customers and increase artwork sales for our members. Additional improvements are planned for the ArtWanted.com website in the upcoming months as part of our 2008 goals to increase artwork sales for our members. Enjoy!
