Now Accepting 2008 Calendar Submissions

We wanted to let all our members know that we are now accepting artwork submissions for our 2008 Calendars! We have been doing these for 4 years now and they always sell out. Don't miss this chance to get your artwork in one of our calendars for next year.

CALENDAR DESCRIPTION

Each calendar features 365 'tear-off' pages, for each day of the year. Each day features a different ArtWanted.com artist and displays their name, artwork title/description and website address for more information on that artist. The artwork featured in the calendars is a large mixed sample of traditional art, digital art and photography of our members. The final size is 4.5" wide and 4" tall. There is a fold out cardboard easel in the back that tilts the calendar perfectly to sit on any table or desk.

CALENDAR THEMES

We will have five different calendar themes, so we can feature the artwork of many of the artists on our site. The five themes are:

  • ArtWanted.com Sampler - Misc. Artwork
  • Animals / Wildlife
  • Landscape / Outdoor
  • Photography
  • Sci-Fi / Fantasy

    SUBMITTING ARTWORK

We encourage all ArtWanted.com members to submit artwork for our upcoming calendars. There is no cost/fee to submit, so there is nothing to lose. Just go to the following page and submit your artwork for consideration. The deadline for submission is Aug. 31st, 2007 or once all the calendars are filled-up. We will be selecting which artists to feature in September.

    PRE-ORDERING THE CALENDAR

For those artists that would like to pre-order any of the calendars, they will get a special bonus to pick the specific date they want for their calendar page. They will also be guaranteed a spot in the calendar, as long as the image meets our guidelines. The cost of the 2008 calendar is $15.95 each. We also offer discounts for additional calendars you purchase for friends & family. To pre-order a copy, click here.

    SUMMARY

The calendars are a great way to gain more exposure to your artwork and just enjoy the creative talent from other members on the site. Make sure you are a part of this exciting project.

Is there a limit as to how many pieces of art we can submit for the 2008 calendar?

    joan warburton 15 Apr 2007

I could not find where to choose a date if you pre-order. I'm looking for 6/22 if accepted but don't know where to enter it. :(

Michael, I believe it said you could submit one image for each type of calendar.

When it gets close to print time, and there's room left, AW usually opens it up so that you can submit a second image to the same calendar.

Members can upload a total of 5 images, one for each calendar.

As for picking a date, once your payment is recorded, you will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to pick the date you want to reserve. Thanks.

    Thank you, AW!

I submited image.......but didnt pay for it yet as i am not sure how many calendars i wish to order....in a week or so i will decide how many.....should we pay anyway after we get image notification acceptance?

Members will not receive a note that their artwork has been accepted until September, so if you want to make sure you are featured in a calendar, then you can buy at least one of them to save your spot.

I would like to submit my photograph for the calendar. The title is "Orchids in Bloom".

Be sure to use our calendar submission page for all submissions, or we don't get all of the information needed for the calendars or the correct resolution. Thanks.

What sizes do these images do you prefer or does it matter?

    ArtWanted.com Staff 04 Jun 2007

The artwork that is submitted should be at least 800 pixels long/tall, but the higher the resolution, the better the printed image will look.
