Its very simple:draw a character thats naked(if its a guy put some pants on him)then think in mind where the creases should be(usually where curves are on the body).or other words buy some how to draw anime books.even though im bad at giving tutorials, but hey, thats the way i do it.I dont know if this pic that i drew would help.anyway peace.

I had the same problem. I bought a book that helped me out. It's "Dynamic Wrinkles and Drapery" by Burne Hogarth. Hope this helps

the only way to get better at anything is to practice-try finding some pictures with creases in the clothing-almost any picture with someone in it-and copy-do this a bunch and you'll learn how to draw them from memory....all it takes is a little practice:)

That's very true, draw what you see everyday. Anything from photos to actual people, draw it then and there. But for a quick reference, never draw them as hard or dark as the main outlines, depending on style, usually there more wrinkles at the base of the pants, armpits and stomach when turning. There are only very long sleek, yet few, around the arms, and legs. It also depends on the fabric, the best way then is to use shopping catalogues for references.

i studied people :3 like, i'd watch the way tehir shirt moved when tehy move, and such, of course, a couple fo people asked "what the hell are you doing? T_T" but xD when i explained, they just laughed.

a tip: draw teh crease lines very thinly, or colour/shade them in, instaid of drawing them~

i made you a quick doodle, it might help some xD

its not the easiest thing to get the hang of, but its actually very simple, too :3

there are only 3 types of creases: clingy creases: like a form fitting shirt flowey creases: like a long/loose skirt And a combination of the two: normal/comfy fitting cloths, not tight, not baggy

The best way I learned to draw creases, etc is by looking in the mirror or drawing other people. Since i have been drawing I see things in a different light, so every time I go out I look at people and go, oooooh that makes sense. So I just take notice of the way clothes look on other people and apply that to my artwork. A good reference is the how to draw manga books, they offer great information on drawing folds in clothing. Some things to keep in mind while drawing folds is the gravity of the fabric, the way it is being pulled, the motion of the person, wind, etc. Also stiffer and softer fabrics fold differently. Hope I helped!
